So what makes a good bouncy ball?

• Good, hard rubber. Obviously, hard rubber balls are going to bounce a heck of a lot more than balls that have a bit of squidge to them. However, they can hurt if you get hit in the wrong place – so you may want to avoid anything too hard if buying for younger kids.
• A decent size. Ultra-small balls are the worst – not only are they hard to see or catch, they can also pose a potential choking hazard to children. But you’re buying a solid rubber ball, you don’t want something as big as a baseball, or it’ll be quite hard to throw properly. The butterzone in our opinion is something around 1.5-2″ in diameter.
• Good durability. The weak point of any ball is its seam – the last thing you want is it splitting or chipping.

What types of bouncy balls are there?
